Deutsche Bank has made three key appointments in its Dubai office across its investment banking division in a bid to cover more clients and expand its regional portfolio, Zawya reported.
Ilya Korobov, who joined the bank in November 2025, relocated from London to Dubai as Director of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEEMEA). Abdeslam Alaoui, Managing Director and Head of CEEMEA Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank, stated that Korobov will focus on DCM coverage across the Middle East and Africa. In September, the bank served as joint lead manager for Qatar's $3-billion sovereign bond issuance, DP World's dual-tranche bond offering (€750 million in green notes and $750 million in conventional notes), and Pakistan's $3-billion eurobond sale.
Adel Taleb has also relocated from London to Dubai to support the expansion of the Distressed Products Group (DPG) in the Middle East. Serving as a director within DPG, Taleb will oversee distressed and special situations capabilities across the region. Robbie Harris, Managing Director of DPG Europe, noted that the bank is bolstering its regional presence as local capital markets deepen, following its acquisition last year of an $800-million distressed loan portfolio from First Abu Dhabi Bank.
Additionally, Deutsche Bank appointed Nitin Sawhney last month as Dubai-based Head of Institutional Client Group (ICG) MENA. Sawhney brings over 20 years of emerging markets experience in financing, hedging, and investment solutions, having previously served as Head of MENA Financing at UBS.
