Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai), announced operational measures on 6 October 2026 to grant Golden Visas to outstanding educators.

The measure executes directives issued by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to recognise educators on World Teachers' Day. Under the framework, qualifying education professionals are granted 10-year residency permits aimed at supporting long-term talent retention.

According to Al Marri, GDRFA Dubai is facilitating application workflows to deliver administrative ease and residency stability for eligible teachers and their families. The initiative constitutes part of Dubai's Education 33 strategy designed to elevate educational benchmarks and attract specialized international academic talent.
