Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan is leading a $300 billion sovereign wealth fund, L'imad Holding, that has become central to establishing trade and transport infrastructure designed to circumvent maritime reliance on the Strait of Hormuz, Bloomberg reported.

People familiar with the matter said the entity is positioned to deploy tens of billions of dollars more into developing new port and logistics assets situated outside the strategic strait.

The initiative forms part of Abu Dhabi's broader capital deployment across logistics, aviation, and transport infrastructure to secure alternate export and import corridors across the United Arab Emirates and wider region.
