Emirates and Dubai Chambers Partner to Support Dubai SMEs in Global Expansion

Emirates and Dubai Chambers have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Seamless Middle East 2026 to support the international expansion of Dubai-based small and medium enterprises. Under the agreement, Dubai Chamber of Commerce members gain access to Emirates SkyCargo's global network and door-to-door express logistics services. The collaboration also offers incentives through Emirates Business Rewards and joint supply chain advisory initiatives.

Emirates and Dubai Chambers have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Seamless Middle East 2026 conference to assist Dubai-based small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups with entering international markets and global supply chains. The agreement was signed by Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Khalid AlJarwan, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Services at Dubai Chambers.

According to the agreement, members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce will have access to international freight capacity and tailored logistics solutions across six continents through Emirates SkyCargo. SMEs and startups will also be eligible to utilize Emirates Courier Express, an international door-to-door courier service offering express transportation and customs clearance.

The partnership incorporates incentives under the Emirates Business Rewards corporate loyalty programme. Dubai Chamber of Commerce members enrolling in the programme for the first time will receive a 2,000-point welcome bonus, alongside access to joint member engagement events and promotional activities.

Additionally, Emirates SkyCargo and Dubai Chambers plan to establish value-added support initiatives for local businesses, including cargo advisory programmes, workshops, and knowledge-sharing platforms focused on supply chain planning and efficiency.

Gotion Secures 6 GWh in Saudi Arabia’s First Utility-Scale Battery Storage Program

Saudi Power Procurement Company has awarded China's Gotion High-Tech 6 GWh of battery storage capacity, representing approximately 75% of the kingdom's 2 GW/8 GWh G1 tender valued at roughly $1.16 billion. Gotion secured three sites—Al Muwayah, Haden, and Al Kahafa—each delivering 500 MW/2 GWh. The project marks the first international utility-scale deployment of the Gotion Grid storage system.

China and US Reveal Reciprocal Tariff Cut Lists Covering 60 Billion Dollars

China and the United States have published reciprocal tariff exemption schedules covering approximately $30 billion worth of goods in each direction following September trade talks. The combined $60 billion in trade covered under the arrangement directly impacts Gulf shipping and logistics supply chains.
