Beijing-headquartered investment bank China Securities has established a regional office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), according to Zawya and DIFC announcements. The publicly listed securities firm secured an operating licence from the DIFC Authority and regulatory authorisation from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).
The regional hub is established to support China Securities' operations across equity and debt capital markets, investment banking, asset management, and institutional services. Through the Dubai office, the bank will serve clients, investors, and financial institutions across the Middle East while facilitating cross-border capital flows between China, the UAE, and international markets.
The establishment follows sustained engagement between DIFC and China Securities and adds to the expanding presence of Chinese financial institutions in Dubai. Other Chinese institutions operating in the centre include Bank of China, China Construction Bank, and China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC).
According to DIFC, China's five largest banks collectively account for more than 30 percent of total banking and capital markets assets registered in the financial centre.
