China Securities has established a regional office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) to serve as a platform connecting Chinese capital with markets across the United Arab Emirates and the wider Middle East, Arabian Business reported.

The Chinese investment bank intends to provide services across equity and debt capital markets, investment banking, asset management, and institutional services.

According to DIFC, China's five largest banks already represent more than 30 percent of total assets in the financial free zone's banking and capital markets sector. The firm's entry takes place amid growing bilateral economic cooperation, with China-UAE non-oil trade having surpassed $100 billion.
