UAE Outlines Salary Requirements and Rules for Sponsoring Family Residence Visas

The United Arab Emirates has outlined the salary and accommodation conditions required for expatriate residents seeking to sponsor family residence visas, according to a report by Emirates 24|7.

Under the rules, expatriates must earn a minimum salary of AED 4,000 per month to sponsor dependents. Alternatively, an individual must earn at least AED 3,000 per month if company-provided accommodation is included.

Permissible dependents under this scheme include a spouse, unmarried daughters, sons under the age of 25, and children of determination regardless of age.

The validity of dependent visas remains directly tied to the primary sponsor's residency tenure, requiring corresponding renewal or cancellation. Should the sponsor's residency permit expire or be terminated, dependents are permitted a six-month grace period to secure alternative legal status.
