Sharjah Customs has outlined specific categories under which commercial goods and equipment can enter the emirate temporarily without paying customs duties, Gulf News reported.
According to the authority, qualifying items include heavy machinery and specialized supplies imported for project execution or scientific experiments. Equipment brought in temporarily for maintenance or repair, as well as foreign goods intended for further industrial processing, are also eligible for the duty exemptions.
The provisions further cover event supplies for stadiums, theatres, and exhibitions, alongside commercial display samples and empty containers imported for refilling. Authorities stated that businesses must comply with specific procedural criteria and documentation requirements to obtain temporary entry clearance.
