The board of China Securities has approved a $725.3 million capital injection into its Hong Kong subsidiary, CSC Financial (International), raising its capital base to $1.39 billion, according to Dealroom News.
The transaction represents the firm's second cash injection in eight months. It follows China Securities obtaining a licence from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) to establish a regional Middle East presence.
According to the report, China Securities recently supported UAE-based Mashreq Bank in issuing an offshore yuan 'dim sum' bond. The firm's broader strategy aims to expand cross-border financial operations, including derivatives and market-making, to connect Chinese capital with Gulf markets.
