China has announced an extension of the maximum permitted stay for APEC Business Travel Card holders from 60 days to 90 days, according to Fragomen. The updated regulation takes effect on November 1, 2026.

The policy measure is intended to streamline international travel and facilitate commercial mobility for corporate executives across participating economies. Cardholders will receive expanded leeway to conduct corporate management, commercial negotiations, and trade-related engagements within China.

According to Fragomen, the adjustment will decrease the frequency of exit and renewal requirements for international business visitors. The measure aligns with broader Chinese trade initiatives designed to attract foreign commerce and support cross-border exchanges.
