The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has updated its travel advice, reiterating an advisory against all travel to the whole of Yemen due to unpredictable security conditions. British nationals currently in the country are advised to leave immediately.

The FCDO stated that UK government support is severely limited in Yemen, with British Embassy services in Sana'a suspended and all diplomatic staff withdrawn. The UK government noted it cannot assist British nationals leaving Yemen, confirms there are no evacuation procedures in place, and cannot provide safety advice regarding potential departure points.

The advisory highlighted high regional risks, noting that the context in the Middle East remains unpredictable. It stated that strikes and retaliatory attacks have occurred across the region, including Houthi air strikes against Saudi territory and Red Sea shipping since July 2026. The FCDO warned of possible flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions across the Middle East.
