UAE Presidential Special Envoy to China and Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak held talks in Beijing with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to review progress under the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The meeting evaluated new opportunities for cooperation across economic, commercial, cultural, and strategic sectors, with UAE Ambassador to China Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi and senior diplomats taking part in the discussions.
The diplomatic talks followed trade data released by the Government of Dubai Media Office, where Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum highlighted that non-oil trade between Dubai and China expanded 172-fold over 35 years. Bilateral non-oil trade rose from AED 2.1 billion in 1990 to AED 363.5 billion in 2025, making China Dubai's top global trading partner, compared to its position as sixth-largest in 1990.
Sheikh Hamdan noted the trade milestones as Dubai Chambers prepared to dispatch its largest-ever business delegation to Shenzhen to accelerate cross-border economic engagement under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
