Naseem Dhofar SAOC is moving forward with the 125-megawatt Dhofar II Wind Independent Power Project located in southern Oman. The project company is a joint venture between Sembcorp Industries, which holds a 75 percent stake, and Oman's OQ Alternative Energy, which holds 25 percent.

The renewable energy development represents an investment of approximately RO 43 million. It will consist of 20 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.25 megawatts, spread across a 12-square-kilometre site.

China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), through its subsidiary Shanxi Institute, is executing the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract. Scope of work for the Chinese contractor includes constructing the wind generation site, a 400 kV step-up substation, and approximately 3.7 kilometres of overhead transmission infrastructure.

The project operates under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement signed with Nama Power and Water Procurement Company. Full commercial operations are targeted for the third quarter of 2027.
