The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has announced a one-year regulatory extension allowing Tajer Abu Dhabi commercial licence holders to operate without physical office premises.

According to the department, the decision applies specifically to entrepreneurs whose existing no-premises exemptions were scheduled to expire during 2026. Authorities introduced the policy extension to lower initial capital requirements for startups and grant businesses greater flexibility in their early phases of operation.

ADDED also reported that the volume of new Tajer Abu Dhabi licences expanded by 24% in 2025, followed by an additional 8% increase during the first half of 2026.
