Mattress manufacturer King Koil convened its first international licensing summit in Shanghai, China, under the theme "One King Koil – Stronger Together. Trusted Everywhere". The gathering brought together more than 40 executives representing 17 licensees across five continents to discuss brand expansion, exchange operational practices, and review upcoming product launches.
The summit was hosted by AI Dream, the primary shareholder in King Koil. King Koil Chief Executive Officer David Binke told attendees that restructuring the company's business model had driven increases in revenue, EBITDA, and brand awareness, positioning the firm to pursue a top-10 global ranking among bedding manufacturers.
Participants at the event included Sundar Rajan, managing director of Dubai Furniture Manufacturing Company, which has served as King Koil's licensee for the Middle East for more than 30 years. Rajan noted King Koil's repositioning from a mass-market brand into the premium and ultra-premium bedding categories.
Corporate executives David Long, Executive Vice President of Innovation & Marketing, and JP Seshadri, Executive Vice President of Licensing, Compliance & International Business, also addressed attendees. In addition to strategic presentations, attendees took part in factory and retail tours across Shanghai.
