Beijing-headquartered investment bank China Securities has established a regional office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) to serve clients and investors across the Middle East, Gulf News reported.
The publicly listed securities firm received an operating licence from the DIFC Authority and was authorised by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). The new office will support activities across equity and debt capital markets, investment banking, asset management, and institutional services.
China Securities is the latest major Chinese investment bank to set up operations in DIFC. China's five largest banks currently account for more than 30% of total assets in DIFC's Banking and Capital Markets sector.
