On September 24, 2026, the Competition Commission of Pakistan officially sanctioned an equity transaction granting UAE-based Velora Global Ventures-F.Z.C. a shareholding in Masood Textile Mills Limited, according to The Nation.

The transaction completes the formal transfer of equity previously held by two Chinese industrial entities: Shanghai Challenge Textile Company Limited and Zhejiang Xinao Industry Company Limited.

Velora Global Ventures is domiciled within the Ajman Free Zone Authority in the United Arab Emirates, where it operates in commercial brokerage and the wholesale trade of textile goods.

Regulatory authorities concluded following a Phase-I competition assessment that the cross-border transaction would not restrict or distort market competition within the sector.
