Brent Yap is a legal advisor with a background in ship management, shipping finance, and legal advice. He holds a Certificate in Legal Practice and has completed various certifications in Chinese law and Islamic corporate banking products. Fluent in English, and Malay, and with working proficiency in Chinese, Brent has extensive experience advising SMEs on legal compliance, business structure, and negotiation.

Currently, Brent serves as a Legal Advisor at the Malaysian Business Council UAE and as a Director at Habib Marine PLT in Dubai. In his roles, he provides legal support to Malaysian SMEs and oversees operations for a multi-service shipping and marine company, facilitating offshore support for clients in the GCC, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, China, and South Asia.
